PSE X-force DNA Dreamseason Compound Bow

The 2014 PSE Xforce DNA bow is definitely not for beginners. ATA is 31", DW #70, DL 26-30", weighs just 3.7 lbs and an IBO speed of 352 FPS. Yes 352 fps...
Nominated the best hunting bow of 2013, this thing is just plain mean. No smooth, easy draw, let off only 70% and a brace height of 6", its a killing machine that requires a strong touch.
I absolutely love it!
I bought my DNA in a "ready-to-hunt" package from a little place called "Hunters Friend" in the USA. These guys know what they are doing, put together nice packages with heaps of options and generally do a great job, assembling, tuning, and guaranteeing you get your money's worth.
I am not trying to sound like an advert for them but check them out at this link. You will not be sorry buying from them no matter what country you live in.
When they send the bows out, they come "ready to fire" and include bow setup, paper testing and tuning, range testing and chronograph report, along with a nice little booklet on proper safety and handling.
I selected the Trophy Ridge Punisher 5 w/Light sight, a Trophy Taker Xtreme SL rest and the XX75 CamoHunter Easton arrows.
The rest of the package includes stabiliser, quiver, release, sling and bag. A little extra gets you a string/cable pack. I am very happy with their prices and service and they are very understanding of International Buyers. The only thing I would insist upon is they use much more padding and bubble wrap when they send items out.
The truefire patriot release has a nice trigger mechanism, and nice wrist strap, but the connecting piece from the strap to the trigger is absolute junk. A bent bolt and nyloc nut with a few washers. So I chucked the connecting piece and lathed up a nice swivel made from stainless and tool steel.
So how does it fire?
Well for starters at #65 and 30" DL I could not pull it all the way back!
Yup, thats right, even with my regular gym training there was no way in hell I could pull more than 70% of the draw. So I cheated, adjusted it down a few pounds (#60) and shortened the draw length to 29" and can now draw the bow well enough. I guess it will take some getting used to. There is almost no Valley and the let off does not feel like it is letting all that much off! This is one awesome, mean mother of a bow.
I just love it! I am over 6 ft tall and well over 220 pounds (185cm and 100Kg for you metric people), a regular weight trainer and it makes me feel weak!
The Easton CamoHunter XX75 2219 arrows look like the business. Thick and heavy hitting. match the bow in their mean looking Camo colors. Feel good to shoot, very confidence inspiring..
I am still sighting it in, so I will write more later but for now just let me say "awesome"... It is super smooth when you fire it super fast (cannot see the arrow leave the bow) and once you get used to the draw, nice smooth consistant draw..but it has almost no valley!
Here is some video of me shooting the bow! Its an animal to draw! The first shot my wrist was high, the second was better and in the third I was torquing the bow.. I am still getting used it!
