This bow is a fantastic bow for beginners, intermediates and hunting. Its a ATA 31", DW 70#, DL 19-30", twin cam compound bow painted in cam.
Fully adjustable at home with a couple of Allen keys, it weights around 3.8 pounds and has a let off of 80%.
Its not the fastest bow around, (310 fps) but loads of adjustability make up for a lower speed.
It packs a lot of bow for not a lot of cash (more on what I paid later)..
I bought my bow in a "bow package" which in Malaysian terms means "all the cheapest items put together in a package for you to pay top dollar for." No product matching here!..
The cheap but acceptable PSE Aries sight has all the required features for basic hunting, so I cannot see myself investing in a different sight in the near future.
It came with an el cheapo prong arrow rest so I replaced it with a RipdCord Red Camo Dropaway rest.
I use a Scott's Mongoose Mechanical Release (extra cost from the package as they included a crappy finger glove - yes I know, a finger glove on a Compound bow?), the Mongose has got a light trigger but it is a very good, single jaw release. Fully adjustable, including the trigger.
The bow came with no silencers or stabilisers or any accessories so I added a black Sims Scoil Stabiliser
I bought my bow in a package from a major Malaysian Archery Center, and learnt a good lesson.
I won't name the Malaysian Shop but you may find there logo somewhere around here ;) and rest assured I will never buy anything from them again!
Unfortunately, the so called " Professional Setup" side was later discovered to be nothing more than the shop opening the accessory packages and bolting the items on, so no value add there either :(..
Luckily this brilliant bow is easily adjusted and tuned using standard tools!
We live and learn, at least I have had some rapid, self taught lessons in bow setup and tuning, and given my engineering skills it was pretty easy.
So I am not bitter, and as always, the staff were very friendly, but I recently bought some carbon arrows direct from US and it was great value (as well as arrow rest and a few other things)!
Anyhow, Here is some video of me shooting the bow! It fires smooth and easy. I love it. Also some video of my 12 yr old son firing the same bow but adjusted for him..(first few shots). His form is so much better than mine!
